Privacy of the company directory
How we process the data published by the BORME, and what rights you have over it.
Where the data comes from
Everything shown here comes from the Official Gazette of the Commercial Registry (BORME), published by the BOE and publicly accessible. We do not obtain data from any other source or buy it from anyone, and we never add a single figure that does not come from the official bulletin.
The legal basis for this processing
This processing relies on legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR) in giving access to publicly available commercial information, weighed against the rights of the people concerned. We do not ask for consent, because the source is already public and official.
What for
To look up and research companies and the people who run them: due diligence, counterparty checks and commercial transparency. Besides each company's own page, we show, on a page by name, the companies where the BORME has published that person as a director, attorney-in-fact or sole shareholder, exactly as the bulletin states it. We do not add data from other sources, we do not score anyone, we do not sell lists and we do not run commercial prospecting.
What data we show
First and last name as published by the BORME, office held, company and appointment or resignation dates. Never a national ID number, which the BORME does not publish, nor health or capacity data, which we filter out and never show. Since the bulletin does not identify people uniquely, the same name can correspond to more than one person.
For how long
For as long as the fact stays published in the BORME, unless you exercise your right to erasure or objection.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, and object to it on grounds relating to your particular situation (art. 21 GDPR). We cannot change the official BORME — that belongs to the Commercial Registry — but we can remove from this directory the copy we show, whether that is a company page, a person page or a specific fact.
Complaints
If you believe we have not honoured your rights, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
